I built my first PC at sixteen with eight months of savings and a tutorial I clearly didn’t fully understand. It posted first try, which I’ve been irrationally proud of ever since. I studied computer engineering partly to understand why it worked, and have spent the years since figuring out what actually changes how a game performs versus what exists purely to justify a price point. The gap between those two things is bigger than most people realise and most product pages are not going to help you find it. I still live with two other people who will occasionally walk in while I’m running the same benchmark for the fifth time and just quietly leave again without asking. I write about pro player configs, peripheral specs, system optimisation, and the compatibility questions that tend to have genuinely annoying answers. All of it comes from actually testing things, including plenty that didn’t work the way they were supposed to.
